Swept Up in a Tornado of Entertainment
"WOW!! I cannot begin to express how entertaining the show was. It was gripping from start to finish. The Wiz had everything; belly laughs, actual tears from Dorothy’s pain (my wife happily cried throughout), suspense, intrigue. The choreography was masterful. The music was perfection to the last note. The costumes and set design were worth the price of admission alone. We cannot thank the cast and crew enough for the experience. The staff was completely engaging and helpful throughout. Keith, our usher, left his entire being in the performance of his duties and helped to add the perfect finishing touch to bring this show to the top. I’m broken hearted that this was the final show and wait to see its resurgence so that we can come back. Thank you Broadway. Thank you everyone involved in this amazing production. We cannot say enough to express our gratitude for the show. "

A MUST-SEE!!! STANDING OVATION!!!
"If Broadway doesn't bring back The Wiz with this amazing cast, then Broadway doesn't have a clue what it's doing! The cast, the music, the set design, the energy, even the themed drinks for purchase were perfect!! The Lion was my f-a-v-o-r-i-t-e!! WHEW!! His acting, his voice, his signature song!! I'm singing it now as I write this!! "Beeee a liiioooon (deep breath, hand in the air) in my own waaaaay!"
Even though I saw only a few children at the 7pm showing (probably because it was a weeknight), I'd absolutely recommend it for school-age children and older. The positive messaging and mesmerizing performance and set design will definitely keep them captivated, and believing they can Be A Lion!
The only small change I would make is regarding the Wicked Witch Evilene. Although her singing was amazing, her acting was a bit lackluster. She didn't project "wicked witch." Maybe I'm unfairly comparing her to legend Mabel King? Maybe just an off-night for her?
My recommendation to everyone: PETITION BROADWAY TO BRING BACK THE WIZ!!! BRING BACK THE WIZ!!!
