The next big thing on Broadway…

"As a teen I loved Alicia Keys, when visiting NYC I wanted to take my 12 year old to see something a little different and specifically unique to Broadway as we live close to London’s Westend. Let me tell you, this did not disappoint. The music was pitch perfect and the vocals were absolute liquid gold throughout. Some small swears scattered throughout the script, but nothing too harrowing for a young high-schooler. There are some really important themes touched upon throughout. For example, single parent family life; racial inequality and grief and loss of a loved one just to name a few. Nevertheless, this doesn’t take away from some more humorous and lighthearted moments that were executed brilliantly. A real gem of a show, I hope it does well!"

So much fun!

"Loved the music and the choreography! The actors were absolutely incredible! The only negative I have is that sadly my seats were in the upper mezzanine and the overhang cut off the top half of the stage. We missed a lot! If I had known that was the case, I would have purchased better seats."

Hells kitchen was sheer heaven!

"I went into the show unsure of what I should expect. I’m a huge Alicia Keys fan, the cast brought the story and her music to such life that it bounced off the stage! The vocals were amazing, the dancing was so creative and energizing, and I thought it was just so well executed from beginning to end. I have never wanted to see again. But if someone offered me tickets to go tonight, I fly back to New York to go. It was just Tremendous!!!!"

"Fantastic show with amazing and talented actors! I personally really enjoyed the physicality of the actors- how they moved their bodies with such energy, purpose, and passion. The messages of this show were nuanced and complex, yet made understandable for a diverse audience- police brutality, mother-daughter relationships, absent fatherism, grief, the importance of remembering Black legacies, coming of age. We very much enjoyed this show and it felt like so much more than an Alicia Keys jukebox. "

Very entertaining

"The first 2/3rds of first act is shaky. Too much internal dialogue for Ali and the script could use some work. Then it picks up with the amazing teacher performances and is great the rest of the way. Strong performances from Ali’s mom and dad and her teacher. The dancing is excellent and the stage is cool. Love the elevator and police effects. Would recommend. "

Empire State Performance

"My family and I were on holiday from the UK, and I wanted to book us into a Broadway show that resonated with where we were. To see “Hell’s Kitchen” just a few streets from HK itself was too good to miss. And it did not disappoint. The amount of talent on stage was exceptional, as was every performance from the cast, the dancers and the musicians. “Empire State of Mind” at the end of the show, on our last night in NY, was a fitting final and lasting memory. "
