Ali is a 17-year-old girl full of fire – searching for freedom, passion and her place in the world. How she finds them is a New York City coming-of-age story you've never felt before – Hell's Kitchen, a new musical from 16-time Grammy® Award winner Alicia Keys, whose songs and experiences growing up in NY inspire a story made for Broadway. The “powerhouse cast” (Variety) is led by Shoshana Bean, Brandon Victor Dixon, Kecia Lewis, Chris Lee, and Maleah Joi Moon.
Hell's Kitchen is directed by four-time Tony Award® nominee Michael Greif, with choreography by Tony Award nominee Camille A. Brown, a book by Pulitzer Prize finalist and Tony Award nominee Kristoffer Diaz – and the music of Keys, featuring new songs and her greatest hits.

"I didn’t know what to expect when I booked my ticket at the last minute. This play exceed all of my expectations! The cast, the signing, the dancing , the songs, all INCREDIBLE! I will be talking about Hell’s Kitchen for a long time! There was nothing inappropriate for children, a few swear words but that’s it. I would say a tween would enjoy this play, especially if they love Alicia Keys music! "

"“Hell’s Kitchen” drew me in from start to finish. The characters felt real and multi-dimensional, and were likable in spite of, and sometimes because of, their imperfections. The show has many layers - mother-daughter relationship, first love, racial issues, loss and grief, finding your place in the world - but does not beat you over the head with any of them, allowing you to care because the characters care. The music and choreography tell much of the story, as well, with songs and voices that are sweet, wistful, passionate, or powerful, as the situation calls for, and dancing that is lyrical, organic, and beautiful - an extension of the scene rather than something that has been tacked onto it. I left the theater feeling inspired, moved, and deeply satisfied. I highly recommend “Hell’s Kitchen”, and hope that I will have the chance to see it again."

"We saw the matinee show and the understudies in it were phenomenal! So much talent and energy! The musical score fit the story perfectly and the clarity of voices was great.
From a seating perspective - if you sit in the balcony, be aware the angle of the steps to your seat is very steep."
