Ali is a 17-year-old girl full of fire – searching for freedom, passion and her place in the world. How she finds them is a New York City coming-of-age story you've never felt before – Hell's Kitchen, a new musical from 16-time Grammy® Award winner Alicia Keys, whose songs and experiences growing up in NY inspire a story made for Broadway. The “powerhouse cast” (Variety) is led by Shoshana Bean, Brandon Victor Dixon, Kecia Lewis, Chris Lee, and Maleah Joi Moon.
Hell's Kitchen is directed by four-time Tony Award® nominee Michael Greif, with choreography by Tony Award nominee Camille A. Brown, a book by Pulitzer Prize finalist and Tony Award nominee Kristoffer Diaz – and the music of Keys, featuring new songs and her greatest hits.
"The sound was turned up way to high… I think the music and acting was wonderful. The music could have been better if it was lower just a bit. "

"I’m a Native New Yorker, a former performer and a huge Broadway fan. I LOVE Alicia Keyes but unfortunately I didn’t love this show. The music is great and there are some standout performances from the “mother”, “father “ and “music teacher “ but the storyline, script and choreography are basic and at times, a bit corny. The show doesn’t flow very well. It wasn’t until after intermission that I was truly captivated and moved by the performances. I enjoyed the show overall but it didn’t leave me wanting to see it again as I do with most shows. I hope they will tweak the beginning and work on the acting, so it will be around for a while. "

"I thought two characters in the show were particularly standout - the mom and the piano teacher. I also thought some of the supporting charters and the dancing was fabulous. However, I thought the main character was overacting and the storyline in general was uninspiring and even boring."

"The music and acting were superb. The replacement for the main character has a beautiful voice, but didn’t enunciate her words. You could clearly understand everyone else’s vocals, except for the main character. VERY disappointing‼️ Every other actor’s singing was easy to hear and understand. I was sitting in the fifth row so I should have been able to hear EVERY WORD clearly. "

"We enjoyed the music , staging and singing. Dancing was average at best and too much gratuitous of vulgar language. Broadway shows should be better than this."

"There's no pizzazz to this show. The dance scenes are repetitive. We couldn't understand most of what was said or sang due to a poor quality sound system. Very disappointing"
