Ali is a 17-year-old girl full of fire – searching for freedom, passion and her place in the world. How she finds them is a New York City coming-of-age story you've never felt before – Hell's Kitchen, a new musical from 16-time Grammy® Award winner Alicia Keys, whose songs and experiences growing up in NY inspire a story made for Broadway. The “powerhouse cast” (Variety) is led by Shoshana Bean, Brandon Victor Dixon, Kecia Lewis, Chris Lee, and Maleah Joi Moon.
Hell's Kitchen is directed by four-time Tony Award® nominee Michael Greif, with choreography by Tony Award nominee Camille A. Brown, a book by Pulitzer Prize finalist and Tony Award nominee Kristoffer Diaz – and the music of Keys, featuring new songs and her greatest hits.
"This was a fun innovative coming of age story set to a familiar background. Every actor did a great job but Kecia Lewis stole the show. Highly recommend. "

"My husband and I loved every minute of this performance! The singing and the dancing was phenomenal and the story line is VERY touching---one scene brought me to tears, it was so powerfully tender. And it was easy to understand the words of the songs they were singing. Just FABULOUS! My husband grew up in this area and has seen lots of shows...and he says that this is the best musical he has ever seen!! I agree 100%!"

"This was my very first Broadway musical which is in itself quite exciting. I chose this one because it is new, very NYC and by Alicia Keys.
I loved everything about it! Choreographies were very good, loved the style but more than that THE SINGING! OMG, all the performers were great and the rendition of the songs was just mind-blowing, I also loved how the big hits were arranged. The story is also very moving so I spent the second act crying.
Absolutely suggested, it is GREAT! "

"I’ve seen a lot of plays in my day, but this play was by far, one of the best I’ve ever seen. The performances were spectacular, and the singing sent chills through my body. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time with excitement for the next thing to come. I would not recommend it for kids (ages 15 and below) because of some of the content, but it was great for adults. "

"The question was asked, “Would I recommend Hell’s Kitchen?” My answer is hell yeah! It was the dopest and hypiest show I have seen since The Lion King back in ‘06. Word up. You will not be disappointed. Fellas, take your Queens, ladies, and/ or daughters out to see a wonderful performance. The singing and dancing, for instance, were outstanding. The story line was well written. After taking my wife to see it on Sunday, August 18, 2024, I plan on seeing it again w/ my daughter. My only negative was the Shubert Theatre; Hell’s Kitchen needs to be in a more modern theatre. For example, there were long lines in both male & female rest rooms. However, overall, the play was OUTSTANDING and I highly recommend it. "

"I wasn’t sure whether my husband would like the show or not. I already knew the premise of the show. My husband isn’t usually into that type of storyline. He’s a Les Mis guy. I thought the cast was amazing. It was great to see the piano teacher who I believe I saw and Dreamgirls 40 years ago. What a talent then and what a talent now! I love Shoshana who played Jersey and I had recently seen her and Mr. Saturday night. She’s excellent. But Maleah Who played Ali, what a star! She will be on Broadway for a long, long, long time. Congratulations to everybody. What a wonderful show!"
