"The show was all-around fantastic but a few key highlights were as follows,
The sets, set design, and the costumes were wonderfully crafted and truly set the tone. Very aesthetically appealing and era appropriate.
The ensemble was very talented and provided such amazing performances.
The actor that portrayed Nick was incredible as well as his Counterpart Jordan, she was truly magnetic and demanded the spotlight.
Jay Gatsby was very talented. A strong vocalist and actor, though at times certain lines were difficult to follow from lack of enunciation. Overall outstanding performance nonetheless.
On the downside, in the beginning of the show the volume of the ensemble was overpowering the singing of Nick, but seemingly the issue was corrected.
Highly entertaining and will be recommending to family and friends! "

"The costumes are spot on, the set design is Tony-worthy, and the acting is excellent. I went in thinking how can you make a musical out of this story? So if you didn’t read the book, it’s like a Cliff Notes version set to music and it works. "

"What a fun-loving musical! Top-rating cast, crew, ensemble and stage presence… so amazed at how well connected everyone was together!
Keep in mind of the change halfway through to a dark undertone about the cost of fame and love from the beginning numbers.
However, Jeremy Jordan’s solos will have you loving his voice over and over again in your dreams! "

"As an American that suffered through weeks of lessons on the symbolism in F Scot Fitzgerald's, The Great Gatsby, in high school English lit, I was prepared for the darkest moments of this stage adaptation. Too bad this novel is banned in some schools these days. Lessons in avoiding the consequences of obsession, class difference, adultry, and suicide are best learned in the safe, boring, school rooms being drilled with symbolism of ever and all seeing eyes.
What I was not prepared for was, finally understanding Gatsby's deep, emotional obsession for Daisy. Jeremy Jordan is well deserved of the applause and shrieks from the young women in the audience as he takes the stage. His delivery of song, "I did it all for Daisy", took me back 40 years, and I finally understood the spark that set off the series of tragic events in the novel. There was no way my English teacher, in front of the chalk board, could have explained this to our 16 year old selves.
Although you will not leave this show humming any of the tunes, you will leave satisfied with the complete package- costumes, staging, dancing, story telling. The spectacle of the decadent jazz age and callousness of the "upper class".
Chilina Kennedy, as Myrtle, has one of the best numbers in the show. Eva Noblezada, her voice divine, her portrayal of not so innocent, actually quite callous Daisy- spot on. Noah Ricketts, as Nick, he has the most difficult job in the cast and sews the story together- Bravo!
Only regret, wish the style of the music reflected more of the Jazz age. "
