"We could only attend one show in NYC, and this one was a winner. The cast were top draw with well matched voices and characterisation , the set was beautifully constructed and visually exciting, and the costumes were excellent. Professional with a capital ‘P’. You will not be disappointed by this marvellous performance of The Great Gatsby. "

"The voices were incredible, the staging was so opulent - colors, sights, lighting. The costumes were simply dazzling. I enjoyed every minute - and I’m a jaded native New Yorker, and hard to please. "

"Very true to the original book while relying maybe a little too heavily on the viewer already knowing the details. Amazing score that showcased all performers’ voices. Impressive dance numbers that make you wish you could dance like that. Beautiful set that seemed to reflect the sleight of hand theme with quick changes behind moving walls. Overall an amazing show that kept you on the edge of your seat."

"The Great Gatsby delivers everything you want from Broadway. Great music, singing, dancing, drama… even the sets and costumes are amazing. Nearly every song is a showstopper and the performances are stellar. We had the pleasure of seeing Eva in Hadestown a while back. Her talent and confidence has grown. Her portrayal of Daisy is beautiful, complex, subtle and natural. And her voice is better than ever. I loved Jeremy as Gatsby… settled though a bit tortured, not creepy, less obsessed with Daisy and more in love and committed to her. The chemistry and ease between the leads is natural. And boy can he sing! He has an amazing voice and great control of it. It is as if the songs were written just for him. It was engaging and entertaining from start to finish. I highly recommend it! "

"The sets were the most detailed and beautiful I’ve ever seen. The leads were all wonderful except I couldn’t make out many of Daisy’s lines and didn’t enjoy her character. I know you aren’t supposed to like her but there must be some reason gatsby fell in love with her. Jeremy Jordan was remarkable- very different than anything else I’ve seen him in and two of his songs were extraordinarily good and moving. Enjoyed the overall experience and the other characterizations and voices. It decently adapted a difficult piece of literature."

"The cast was wonderful, the story of course is great. The music was fun but not really memorable once the show was over. Great visual at the end."

"The costumes, the sets, the lighting and the special effects, all made me feel transported back to the glory days of Broadway. When I saw the green light on the image of the shore, I knew I was going to experience something special. The tap dance number was outstanding. "

"This story is about how easily we destroy our lives and the lives of those around us when we follow our heart absent the input of any wisdom. Its an accurate, well-executed portrayal but includes brief but unambiguous discussions about things like open relationships, orgies, and voyeurism so let the innocent remain innocent. The cast is talented, the music is very fun, and Jeremy Jordan is an exceptional singer. "

"Stage and lighting were amazing. The actors were all fantastic and the songs were toe tapping and energetic. But the plot deviated significantly from the novel and definitely missed the point of the original writer. Here, the theme has become suppression of women. The original novel was more about greed, snobbery (old versus new) and the emptiness of the “American Dream” as experienced by Gatsby himself (who was “the best of them”). An opportunity missed. "

"Add The Great Gatsby to the list of Broadway's most fantastic shows. The set alone is worth seeing and, with its own intricate choreography, could itself be considered another character in the show! Jeremy Jordan, of course, is amazing as Gatsby and his voice is quite possibly the best of Broadway's male actors. Overall, the show is family friendly. However, some content may be disturbing to pre-teen children, depending on their sensibilities. The only reason I couldn't give 5 stars is because many of the main character's stand-ins were performing during this particular show, including the main female lead, Grammy winner Eva Maria Noblezada, whom I had hoped to see perform. Even so, the show provided excellent entertainment and a fun evening with family. "
