"From before the show even starts you should know that you’re going to be transported back to 1920s New York! There must be some sort of magic behind the scenes as from beginning to end I found I could not leave my seat- the set design was flawless, the music (both performance and scoring) amazed me, and the acting and singing sent shivers down my spine- specifically Eva Noblezada, Noah J. Ricketts and Jeremy Jordan but there wasn’t a single song that did not give me the impression that there was a better way it could’ve been done. Overall if I could see this show over and over and over again I 100% would as I think everywhere you look something important is going on!"

"Having travelled from New Zealand one of our main priorities was to see a Broadway show. We had attended a show many years ago and were determined to return. We found it spellbinding, the diction was clear and crisp, the singing outstanding, the movement around the stage was superbly rehearsed, thank you to all the cast and support staff for making our journey worthwhile."

"I loved the music, the chorographer and bringing the story to stage in a musical. The only thing I did not like was the seats, I was in the upper mezz and the people's heads right below me blocked the stage occasionally. I'd see the musical again, and this time, splurge for the better seats with a view. "

"I loved the Great Gatsby. It was well staged. The scene props were one of the best I’ve seen. The performers were awesome. I especially liked Jeremy’s voice. The other persons voice that touched my soul was the person who played Jordan. I have to rate this musical a 12. I was just put together so welll. Kudos everyone!!! Thank you! "

"I knew going into it that it was going to be amazing since Jeremy Jordan and Sam Pauly are both in it as well as being the original cast performing, but it still blew my mind how incredible it was. The set was CRAZY and everything tied so well together. Every character had a chance to really showcase their voice in a solo capacity and all performed so well. I've been thinking about it ever since and want to re-read the book now. Also, I felt so lucky to be able to see Sam Pauly after the performance and got her autograph. I've been a fan of hers since COVID/Six the musical, and it was so incredible to see her perform on stage again and after the show. Loved it, 10/10 recommend!"

"We had seen Gatsby at the Paper Mill Theater before it came to Broadway (with many of the same cast members) so we had high expectations. When we saw that the white paper inside the playbill listed six substitutions, we were alarmed (slightly less so once we saw that the roles of Daisy, Gatsby, Jordan, and Myrtle were performed by the performers we loved). However, the subs were great, particularly those who filled in as Nick and Wolfsheim. I think the script was changed for the better from the off-Broadway version by the addition of some songs (but for the worse by some script changes). If anything, Noblezada, Jordan, and Pauly were even more jaw-droppingly incredible than I remembered."

"Of course voices come first for me, and this show did not disappoint. Jeremy & Eva were magical. We had a fill in for nick caraway and he was fantastic. I also loved how they add more analysis and life to Gatsby and Daisy that I hadn’t seen in other adaptations of Gatsby."

"My daughter, a sixteen year old high school theater performer, and I spent the Friday night, August 16th, in NYC at the Broadway Theatre to see The Great Gatsby. Local theater is a passion of mine, but my daughter was the driving force behind our ticket purchase. After being seated, I was pleased my daughter’s excitement turned to cheerfulness as she opened the Playbill and saw that Jeremy Jordan, Eva Noblezada, Noah J. Rickets and Samantha Pauly were casted for the night. The voices of the cast were spellbinding. “Roaring On” and “La Dee Dah With You” exemplified the escapism of this era, highlighting the ensemble’s talent and craft. The tap dancers who heel-toed and shuffled, made the La Dee Dah scene electrifying. The Great Gatsby’s choreography and the ensemble were riveting and impressive. The Broadway Theatre staff was friendly and helpful. The only struggle of the night was during intermission and bathrooms. Old theaters were not designed for a limited number of bathrooms with large crowds. The staff was efficient with getting the female audience through the long line in the women’s room and back to the seats before the second act started. This show is appropriate for high school students and possibly a confident middle schooler but mature topics were the themes of the musical. Old or new money, The Great Gatsby is a roaring good time. Hope to see you again soon Broadway… I will be looking for the green light from the New Jersey side of the sound."
