Loved it!

"I loved being able to see Mr. Armstrong's story brought to life. The second half was truly impressive. The tap dancing and singing were amazing. If you are a professional musician, it is a little weird to see the cast faking playing an instrument. I would have loved to see the real band playing onstage to distract me from that!"

"Loved the set, the costumes, the choreography, the music, and the story behind the musician. The play provided you with insight you may not have known about the man referred to as Satchmo. It was a look back in time when Black entertainers were type casted and relegated to assume stereotypical roles despite their many talents that far exceeded what they were given. "

the life of Louis Armstrong.

"Learning about the personal life of Louis Armstrong was enlightening. It was interesting to learn that a musically inclined woman was instrumental in Louie’s development as a musician. I never knew that Louie was offered the opportunity to be the Ambassador for the US and how that sequence of events unfolded. Good history lesson with talented actors and actresses telling the story!"
