New Orleans jazz and blues? Yes please!
"I loved that we got to see Louis Armstrong’s journey to stardom, prevailing over racism, limited opportunities. We meet the women he loved and their impact on his career. All told, his first love remained the music, which is perfectly interwoven throughout the show."

Amazing show
"We were in New York for 2 days and wanted to see a show. My son and I are Louis Armstrong fans, my daughter and husband don’t really listen to jazz. All of us loved the show. We were so impressed with the entire cast. Such an amazing show! "

AMAZING Singing Dancing Acting!
"This is our 3rd Broadway show & it was amazing! Our Family attended as a way to honor a Precious Loved One. We learned a lot about Louis Armstrong we didn’t know. The singing, dancing, musicianship, acting … all SPECTACULAR! Heat wasn’t working where we sat in ORCH B but they turned it off during intermission, thankfully! The final song was sung poignantly with emotion that moved our hearts for personal reasons. Wonderful Broadway show!"

Great performances by every member of the company
"This was an incredible telling of the life of Louis Armstrong. It focused on his 4 wives and how they influenced his career. Also did not shy away from showing the racism that he had to endure in order to make it in show business. Incredibly talented cast, and the performance I watched starred the alternates but you would never know that they were not the main performers. It was the best Broadway performance I have seen in a long time. It will keep you riveted and the 2:45 minutes runtime will just fly by."

Wonderful!!!
"I loved everything about the musical!! I saw the advertisement for the musical in October when I was in NYC on business and called my wife telling her we had to attend while in New York the week before Christmas.
The musical didn’t disappoint and I loved everything about it. The cast, the story, the music, and the theatre, which is the old Studio 54.
The only thing I would like to have seen was Mr. Armstrong’s performance in Casablanca with Humphrey Bogart. Casablanca is one on my favorite movies and it would have been a magical moment!!!! But I understand that there are time limitations on all musicals.
Otherwise, I loved everything about the musical!!"

1st time taking in a Broadway musical in the Big Apple
"The whole show was excellent. Great performances by the actors, the orchestra and a historic venue at Studio 54. We had seats in the upper part of the mezzanine to save some money. Tradeoff - at times the view of the actors from the upper mezzanine seats reduced our view of the actors' facial expressions due to the angle and distance.
Thank you to all, including the orchestra."

The best new show on Broadway!!!
"The Louis Armstrong musical— What a Wonderful World, is truly the best show I’ve seen since Hamilton. The voices were superb. The many dancing routines were choreographed brilliantly with tap dancing and exciting routines. The sets were wonderful. But the best part was watching James Monroe Iglehart become Satchmo. His acting, singing, voice, and trumpet playing were genius. What a great night of entertainment. "
