Our Town, the timeless drama of life in the village of Grover’s Corners, New Hampshire, has become an American classic with universal appeal. Thornton Wilder’s most frequently performed play, Our Town appeared on Broadway in 1938 to wide acclaim and won the Pulitzer Prize. This production will be the first major Broadway revival of the play in nearly 25 years.
"Outstanding-Poignant
The cliché 'Life is short'- is conveyed brilliantly by Jim Parsons. Life. Love. Death.
I feel confident in saying the audience experienced every emotion from beginning to end.
I will cherish this performance forever. "

An Ageless Classic
"I was pleasantly surprised to see Jim Parsons as The Stage Manager. He didn't play it as the wise old man, but rather as someone who was letting us in on what was happening or going to happen with a twist of humor. He was absolutely amazing, as was the entire ensemble. Love the set, especially the one in the devastating third act. People around me were crying softly, and I had tears in my eyes, too, though I myself have directed this play several times and acted in it once. It's my favorite American play, and this is one of my favorite productions of it. Congratulations to the director, cast and crew for a wonderful production!"

Wild Play Done Well
"I love the theatre and left Our Town wondering why I had not seen this play before. I thoroughly enjoyed the staging, directing, lighting and cast, but the words oh those miraculous words are the star of this show. The words upstaged even the stellar cast that included Jim Parsons as the Stage Manager, who kept the show rolling along at a good clip. Not one second of stage time was wasted with fluff. The plays matter-of-fact approach to marriage, death and empty nests was just incredible. Without giving away any spoilers, I can only say an I cannot wait to see it again. "

The classic story speaks to the present!
"I loved my seat on the stage! I know this show very well! The actors were the very best conveyers of the storyline! I did not enjoy the period of dress chosen? I was not thrilled with the flat wall of the house where the young couple carried out their courtship! I loved everything else! "

Great play
"I’m from Uruguay, I was visiting NYC and I couldn’t miss the opportunity to go to Broadway. This was my first time in Broadway watching a play. In my view, the play was great and a great option for the ones who loves classical plays and American classical literature. I speak English as a foreing language and I find it really easy to understand. If English is not your first language, do not hesitate to watch it. "

Perfection
"My daughter (11) and I saw Our Town last week and I still can't quite find the words to describe the perfection of this show, the cast, everything. The cast was absolutely amazing! Jim Parson as the Stage Manager was perfection. Zoey Deutch was great. Most of the cast members were kind enough to take pictures with my daughter and talk to her.
This is one of my favorite plays, I've seen many versions of it, this version is by far my favorite. It may be the best thing I have seen on stage ever.
Bravo to the cast, crew, and production team on a better than exceptional show. "

Favorite Part of Christmas Trip to NYC
"This evening was one of those that you add to your “I’ll Never Forget List”! Jim Parsons and Katie Holmes lit up the stage. I loved the way I had to use my imagination to create the scenery. The way the play was directed, the actors’ performances, the creativity used to tell the story (especially the 3rd Act), and my 3rd Row/Center seat made this worth every penny and more! Our Town was my favorite part of our Christmas trip to NYC. "

A classic not enough people know about!
"I remember seeing a production of Our Town when I was in middle school on a class field trip; the depth and emotions portrayed have stuck with me. It was a joy to see it again and the modern changes made to cast/culture only enhanced the experience! Jim Parsons is a delight, of course, and this show is no exception."

Wonderful story of a small town partially narrated by Jim Parsons

A brilliant cast and an important message for all of us!
"Our Town has a message for everyone who is human about how short life is and how important it is to take the time to really experience it. The cast was amazing, and Jim Parsons set the stage for the story beautifully from the very first scene, breaking the “forth wall” and inviting the audience to be a part of the story. Richard Thomas was also amazing, truly portraying a dad going through a range of emotions and experiences with his children. We also saw him in “To Kill a Mockingbird,” and I hope to see him again many many more times on stage! "

An unexpected check in to life
"I had never seen this play nor did I know the story. Needless to say it appears quaint and funny at first but the author builds up layers of observations and lessons about life. You will cry at the end but that’s not a spoiler alert. You can tell Jim Parsons is passionate about his acting. Zoe Deutche was so stinking cute and genuine. Richard Thomas has not aged one day and was a perfect choice. Bill Timoney loves his job! Happy and interactive and after the play he shared with us some interesting history about the play. Felt part of the family and shared their emotions. "
